Hey there, first of all, if you’re reading this, thanks a lot for spending your time here. It’s my first newsletter. I won’t take a lot of your time, this one is just an introduction to who I am, what I’m doing currently and what you can expect from this newsletter 😀
I’m Batman 🦇
Who am I?
I’m Ankur, a guy who studied engineering and wanted to be a hardcore engineer until mid of 2024, the end of his third year in college. Then I had a friend who wanted to upskill, so I thought, let’s make a saas product together that will teach him the basics about frontend. Obviously, the product didn’t make any money, but it gave me a new sense of what I wanted to do. I realised I enjoyed making that product more than working at startups as an engineer. Up until then, I had worked with around 10 startups, agencies and founders as a contractor, intern and a full-time employee for 16 days, yep, I resigned from one place in 16 days, will share that later, it’s kinda funny.

What am I doing currently?
I’m currently building Shyft with Rohan Gilkes, who’s a legend in himself, made close to 25 million dollars with his businesses (Proof), and wanted to build something like Mercor, but for blue-collar jobs. I’ll share more about Shyft in upcoming letters, not to sell you, but to explain why and how we are building it. We both are partenered 50-50 on this. I’m handling the tech part, and he’s handling the selling side 😉

I’m also working as a contractor at 2 really successful saas products to learn more about the saas world and create a runway for myself to work on my own products.
At Kleo, I’m working on the engineering/code side. We are close to launch, or maybe when you’re reading this, we have already launched. Do give it a try. Kleo reached 60k + MRR within 2 months, and according to Rob(CEO), they could have achieved it faster in some possible ways (I’ll add a link to his best podcast, sharing his entire playbook below)

At Outrank, I’m working on the support side. It is already doing great and building more features to help users. This one was my first entry to a successfull saas product, which is making 200k MRR and built by Tibo, who’s another legend, he sold his old products for 8 million dollars 💰
